Middle School (Grades 6-8)

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) at the International School of Belgrade (ISB) is dedicated to meeting the developmental needs of middle school students. Through a tailored curriculum and teaching approach, ISB's MYP supports students' cognitive, emotional, and social growth, fostering an environment that encourages exploration and academic success during this critical stage of development. The programme emphasises inquiry-based learning, real-world engagement, belonging within an international community, and celebrating students' diverse perspectives and contributions.

Structure	Interdisciplinary learning with a focus on eight subject groups.

ISB's MYP programme for years 9 and 10 provides a rigorous and engaging curriculum that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, a global perspective with a focus on learner excellence. Students explore diverse subject areas while developing essential skills for success in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).

Target Age Group	14 to 16 years old
Focus	ISB’s MYP program for years 9 and 10 fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and global perspectives, preparing students for the IB Diploma Programme.
Structure	The program’s rigorous curriculum integrates diverse subjects and skills, ensuring a holistic educational experience that promotes academic and personal growth.

The Diploma Programme (DP) at ISB aims to develop students into knowledgeable, caring, and globally minded individuals. By offering the rigorous Diploma Programme curriculum coupled with a strong emphasis on personal and ethical development, we seek to prepare learners not only for success in higher education, but also to be responsible and engaged global citizens.

Target Age Group	16 to 19 years old
Focus	Preparation for success in highly acclaimed higher education institutions and positive contribution to a diverse and interconnected world.
Structure	Six subject groups from which students choose one: language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, and the arts.
Additional required study areas	Include theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS), and the extended essay (EE).
