I think it should be a shared mailbox, which is added by right click. I have tried this on my pc and company pc neither of them works properly. My colleagues also said that the shared mailbox does not automatically update new emails.
I found that the desktop version of outlook can automatically update the shared mailbox with new emails but no notifications. I can see new emails show in inbox.(outlook 2016)
But in the website outlook, I can not see new emails in shared inbox nor do i get any notifications unless i manually switch to another folder and go back to the shared inbox, but still there`s no notifications.(This would mean that the emails are actually received, but they are not automatically updated idk)
On the mobile outlook this works well, I can receive new emails from shared mailbox with notifications and I feel like receiving them is always faster than any way on pc.
My own mailbox works fine, I can see new emails and notifications no matter which platform I'm using.
It would be great if you could get back to me ASAP, it's very disruptive to productivity.

I further tested it in my lab and found the same symptom. I truly apologize for the inconvenience it caused to you. To further help you and quickly check this problem, I recommend you contact global admin of your Microsoft 365 organization, and kindly let global admin create a service request to reach our online support channel and they’ll further help you analyze your scenario: Admin can sign in
