Recently noticed slower boot and shut down times.  Then that yellow dot showed up over the signal strength graph in the Taskbar, even though I have Internet access.  The wi-fi adapter  that came with my acer aspire is weak, as all adapters used by Windows 7 seem to be where I live.  So I run an  external  USB Hawking wi-fi adapter w/antenna in tandem w/systems  wi-fi adapter.  The Synaptics Mouse has a cursor with a mind of it's own and intermittently acts erratically.  I had to re-install W-7 Home Premium due to a nasty Malware attack and of course the driver for the Ethernet Controller didn't load and doesn't seem to have a resolution for that, by experience. I generated System Health Report and I found out along with the missing E. Controller, 52 out of 199 PnP Class Drivers are degrading and the WUDFRd driver failed to load (event 219). Winsock is disabled. I was able to enable the IIS. I am getting a lot of Event 36888 in the Service Control Manager. If you restore the startup type for the Windows Driver Foundation service to "Manual (Trigger Start)",  stop the service, then unplug/reinsert the card reader(s), does this also result in event ID 219?

Any image, link, or discussion related to child pornography, child nudity, or other child abuse or exploitation. I've been able to resolve most of my issues, first enabled IIS to enable Asp.net 4.0.....which started the newer version I already had (4.5....) and that resolved event 219 issue, then used fixit tool 50123 and kb890830 to try and get windows update to update drivers then  re-booted  with a little success. changed Boot items that were critical or disabled to automatic upon boot and rebooted again things  improved quite a bit. Then downloaded driver or enabled TCP/TP.NETBIOS(not sure), enabled NFTS,  Then installed and ran the Intel Update Utility Installer followed by the free CCleaner with great results. Since then start up improved, but superfetch hung up shut down, but loaded on next boot fixing that. all thats left is somewhere along the way WS2ifsl and secdr got disabled and trying to find a solution for that. Of course I still can't find the driver for Ethernet Controller which I've never had much luck with except for My 12 yr old Fujitsu Laptop upgraded from XP to w-7, manufacturer site had one. Of course the CDFS and UDFS files are disabled as usual. It's been a grind, that's why I'm not clear how ,why and when things improved I was at it for about 15 hrs. Is the E. Controller just for wired Internet connections or is it needed?  I'm still having trouble enabling or finding the Winsock IFS Driver (WS2ifsl) and Windows Security Driver(secdr). I dearly need and would appreciate some guidance with these last 3 problems. Also the yellow spot on the WI-FI signal strength graph in the taskbar is still there, even though reception is better than it ever was, what is that all about and how can I remedy this issue?Thank You Rick Harassment is any behavior intended to disturb or upset a person or group of people. Hey Pc magician, thanks for responding, everything I've tried only seems to be temporary.  I've only had a Pc  a couple of years, have bought my 3  kids and X pc's , closest I got was a Blackberry w/roller issues. my 1st Pc was a HP Dv4 in sad shape and now realise stemmed from a serious overheating problem. I bought an installation disc, but never managed a clean install. It finally died while watching movie on "xmovies8" notorious for Malware.  Well that pc slowed down and wasn't able to stay ahead of it and finally wouldn't even turn on. same thing almost happened to this used Acer Aspire 5742, but  I caught it in time. With no Fr'n help from AVG , which I purchased just to find out the same program was free not a fan. AVG proved completely useless. Again NOT A f'N fAN! Tried using my W-7 install disc as a repair disc and it installed instead, again not a clean install, but used the Product key this pc came with.  I'm not a cyber idiot,or stupid, I like to say I'm a Cyberly Challenged Novis. I fix things, I have more patients than sense sometimes. By trade I did Masonry Restoration, and did the on sight repairs, electrical, power tools , Pressure Washers and pumps.  during the rainy Months I worked at Marcos Shipyards as a outdoor Engineer, Fancy title for the low guy on the totem pole. Worked at VW dealer and am consider ed an Expert at air cooled engines Went to school to be a dairy farmer and would buy up my friends blown up or wrecked Snowmobiles. repair them over the summer and sell come Snowmobile season.  I think this bit of my history is important to understand me. I have a good grasp on repairing my Pc , except for  terminology and lack of a schematic sheet or Blueprint.  W/your advise for Ex. I know where to switch the  wfdriver, but  card reader, what card ? and where?is there another title for it, I get a lot of different names, terms and definitions. Is what you want me to do a fix or test. What I found on Y.Tube and web including W- Support were for XP and Vista, Not W-7 after hrs. of trying. I was convinced it was me hitting the wrong key  or sequence  error. There is  just a lot of Vague and misleading advice out there to tell you the truth sometimes the Windows sites is like walking thru a maze backwards and blind. Unless I'm wrong, I'm thinking the root of my problems is the winsock needing to be re-set and finally found Utube Video, by Britec channel to re-set Winsock for W-7, but involves manually changing IP address. I know when it's time to cry out for help, stop andopen my eyes. Am I on the right track? or do you have a better plan, I'm ready to open my eyes and listen. Then there's the SECDR needing to be re-set, seems to be a product of the same Malware or re-install incident and would greatly appreciate your guidance on that issue. Then there is that irritating yellow dot over the signal strength graph in taskbar, even though  the Wi-Fi is working great. I'm thinking it's warning for the issues I'm trying repair, have you ever come across that pesky yellow dot before? Your thoughts please. and please remember I just don't understand cyber lingo or a path to get where I'm advised to perform changes or fix's Thank You Very Much for your time Rick.

Ps If you think I'm a liTtle long winded? Ya otta see my rants!
