Most of the time, paying more for sea view or lake view is wasting money but for this hotel was saving the minutes of life. Very nice landscape, unbelievable road for walking, beside of a big mall with most of necessities and nice rooms all made my business trip as fantastic trip. By the way, the English level of almost all the staff are soooooo poor ( Just as an example 30minutes just passed thru phone and almost 10 minutes at reception to ask for a normal pressing my suit but no results) and breakfast for non-Chinese items were almost nothing. I'm sure for next visit even, this hotel would be my 1st choice.

The reception is huge and staff were very warmth & friendly. The room is clean, slightly more than a year property so it's a good time to stay. A huge mall within a walking distance and metro or Subway station is accessible from the basement of the mall. Exit in Wanda Station & in less than 10 minutes, you'll see the hotel. Just follow the directions. The hotel is located in a new area in Hefei called Wanda City. It is also an easy excess from both the train stations Hefei South station, an elegant new building and the Hefei station which I heard is the older one. There are lots to do in Novotel Hefei and I recommend a long weekend with family and friends. There are two options of rooms you can consider; the garden or the lake view. You can take an evening walk along the lake area near the hotel , shop in the nearby mall or simply sip a cup of coffee at your room balcony overseeing the beautiful view. It's one of the most serene place I have ever been to. It's cold though during the winter. The room is stock up with amenities such as slippers and toiletries. The bath set is one of the best I have seen. I usually would avoid using these product even in reputable five star hotels. Most of them are loaded with strong artificial fragrance / chemicals but not the shower gel and the shampoo/ conditioner here or i believe in most Novotels. Well done! I did encountered with some issues with my reservation but Jimmy Wang, the front office manager and his team were quick to respond and resolve the matter in no time. Jimmy is also very knowledgeable as Hefei is his hometown and you can ask him almost anything. He is ever friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend this pretty semi-resort property to anyone looking for a short get-away.
