Mike didn't only touch our souls through 5th Quarters; during my senior year in 1989, I took his Great Performances class, commonly referred to as "Clap For Credit." I remember the lesson during which Mike played Judy Garland's heartbreaking performance of "Over the Rainbow" toward the end of her life, giving us 20-year-olds a glimpse of dreams deferred, regret and mid-life angst that I was able to translate into perspective on my father's death the previous August. It was a lesson I still treasure, feeling Mike was speaking directly to ME- talk about Music Therapy!! Thank you, LOVE you, Mike!!!🎶💜
