This EP is the first instalment of New Frames 'Exploration Series', where the Berlin duo engages in sonic explorations within the nested system of electronic music’s sub- and micro-genres to focus their meticulous approach to production and sound design on the exploration, deconstruction and reinterpretation of particular concepts within techno music. Therein, each record in the series is an exploration into on of the many nuances and structures that keep techno’s heartbeat pumping.
Kicking series off, the first EP in this series brings the New Frames touch to the ongoing groove infection heating up the scene. Beyond engaging in it, New Frames are pushing the familiar sonic palette of hard groove into innovative, highly sound-designed territories.
