I have the same problem, and even worse, I can't get any decent tech support for this product.  I just bought it on Amazon.com as a digital download, specifically to be able to use the latest version of Solver (I had been using Excel 2007), but I get the same problem reported by the other person.  My Excel 2010 is activated (it says so in Excel), but when I ask MS online support site to locate the license number, it can't find it.  So I entered it manually (and triple checked it for accuracy), and it says it doesn't match.  Go figure.  So now, I'm stuck w/this piece of junk that I paid over $100 for and can't even get the problem fixed.  &%$#@!
